The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This year, the test was held in May 2024, and students seeking admission to Delhi University awaited the results. The NTA announced the results on July 28, 2024, which was a month later than the initially scheduled date of June 30, 2024.
However, just taking the CUET-UG 2024 is not enough to secure admission. Students must also register for the Undergraduate Common Seat Allocation System (UG CSAS) 2024. The registration for UG CSAS 2024 started on May 28, 2024, but the deadline for registration has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.

DU UG Admission 2024
Candidates must register on the DU UG CSAS portal to take part in the seat allocation process for admission to undergraduate programs at all colleges under the University of Delhi. The CSAS system is divided into three phases: applying to DU, selecting preferred programs and colleges, and the seat allocation and admission procedures at the assigned colleges.
Delhi University launched a portal for admissions to 71,000 undergraduate seats on May 28, 2024. The deadline for CSAS 2024 registration has not been announced yet, so it’s advisable to register as soon as possible.
Delhi University UG Admission Eligibility 2024
Students who want to apply for undergraduate programs at the University of Delhi (UoD) can check their eligibility below:
- Applicants must have passed their Class XII examinations or equivalent courses from a recognized board or institute.
- Candidates must have taken the 2024 CUET-UG examinations in the subjects they studied in Class XII.
- Students must meet the program-specific eligibility criteria mentioned in the UG Bulletin of Information (BOI).
Documents Required for DU UG Application 2024
When applying, candidates will need to upload the following documents. Make sure you have them ready:
- Class X and Class XII passing certificates and mark sheets
- Minority certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- EWS certificate
- ESA/Sports Supernumerary quota students must upload self-attested copies of relevant certificates

Delhi University UG Admission Process 2024
The DU UG admission will be conducted through UG CSAS 2024, which involves the following three phases:
1. CSAS-2024 Registration:
Students must submit the UG CSAS-2024 application form with accurate details and pay the required application fee.
2. Preference Filling:
After the CUET-UG 2024 results are announced, students should fill out the choice filling form. During this phase, students need to enter their preferred colleges and programs in order of priority. They will be able to see their program-specific CUET score for all DU UG programs and use this information to fill in their preferences for securing seats in their desired colleges.
3. Allocation-cum-Admission:
The University will create a program-specific merit list and allocate seats based on this list, considering the category, college preferences, and seat availability.
Candidates can accept, freeze, or reject their allotted seats. Those who accept their seats must report to the allocated colleges with the required tuition fees and original documents to complete their admission process. Candidates who reject their seats can participate in the second round of allocation.
Students who did not apply for CSAS 2024 or could not complete Phase II of CSAS 2024 can still participate in the DU mid-entry admission by paying the mid-entry fee.
Delhi University UG CSAS 2024 Application Fee
The DU UG CSAS 2024 application fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee based on the candidate’s category:
- UR/OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹250
- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹100
Important Notes:
- Candidates applying for BA (H) Music, BFA, or B.Sc (PE, HE & S) must pay an additional fee of ₹400.
- Candidates applying under the ECA and Sports Supernumerary quota will need to pay an extra ₹100 for each quota.
Steps to Register for Delhi University UG Admission 2024
Candidates wishing to enroll in undergraduate programs at the University of Delhi (UoD) can follow these steps to register for the DU UG CSAS 2024:
- Visit the Official DU Admission Portal: Go to https://admission.uod.ac.in/.
- Access UG Admission: Click on the UG admission section and then on the Registration link.
- New Registration: Click on “New Registration” and enter your CUET-2024 application number, date of birth, and the captcha code.
- Verify Details: Your photo, name, and signature will be automatically integrated into the UG CSAS 2024 application. Ensure that all details are correct and match your records.
- Enter Academic Details: Fill in all the required academic information and select the relevant categories in the application form.
- Upload Documents: Upload all necessary documents as per your application claims.
- Pay Application Fee: Pay the applicable non-refundable application fee according to your category.
